Video Audition for

local film

Here is your chance to work with national choreographers and share the stage with Saint Louis's top arts companies.  Join this year's line up in CommUNITY Arts STL's benefit concert, Faces of Trauma  which will now be transformed into a film. Past performing companies such as: The Big Muddy Dance Company, MADCO, Ashleyliane Dance Company.

Each teaching artist will select 4-5 students for each discipline, contemporary, jazz or hip hop. Selected dancers will have original choreography set on

Sunday, Sept 13 with future rehearsals and film dates TBA  

 

To be considered, dancers must submit the following to our email CommUNITYartsSTL@gmail.com:

  • A signed audition agreement

  • Three video recordings of the dancer demonstrating the audition combinations below

MUSICAL THEATER Dustin Crumbaugh 

In 2009, he performed with Cerqua Rivera Dance Theater until joining The Big Muddy Dance Company in 2011, with whom he has performed works by Lauri Stallings, Lou Conte, Paula David, and Harrison McEldowney. As a member of The Big Muddy since 2011, Dustin co-directs the Convergence Trainee Program alongside Brian Enos. learn more

HIP HOP Jasmine Spencer

is a St. Louis native, dancer, and choreographer. She has been dancing since the age of 14, where she studied various styles of dance and specializes in hip hop. She is currently an instructor/assistant artistic director at COCA (Center of Creative Arts, as well as Kode Redd Dance Company. Jasmine has danced for artist such as Lil Kim, Rick Ross,Da Baby, Lil Duval, Mai Lee, and Tiffany Foxx. She has also been seen on the BET Hip Hop Awards, and Netflix series Insatisble Seasons 1& 2.

JAZZ Megan Melville

Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Megan is thrilled to be collaborating with CommUNITY Arts STL! A graduate of Point Park University, Megan has been fortunate to perform all over the world as a Dancer, Model, and Magician’s Assistant. Credits include “The Donny & Marie Show”, “Vegas! The Show”, “The Bodyguard” National Tour, “America’s Got Talent”, “Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented” and Holland America Cruise Line. Megan is also a member of the unique Las Vegas based Girl Group “City Katz”! You can find her adventures on social media @Megan_Melville.
